Founder
Former CRO for a top-10 credit card issuer, over his 40-year career Jeff has been a pioneer in leveraging data to improve portfolio performance by minimizing risk and maximizing profitability. He has helped a wide range of clients structure data to support improved decision-making and focus on boosting profits.

JOHN LINTON

Service & Delivery
Senior Manager serving in the financial and technology industries. Accomplished in global product management, risk management, corporate PMO initiatives and client implementations. Previous experiences with Advanta, JPMorgan Chase, FIS, Fiserv and consulting with over forty financial service institutions.

Jeff Fread's Bio

With over 40 years of experience, Jeff started his career in audit with one of the original Big Eight accounting firms as a CPA. He worked primarily in financial services there until moving to a small credit card issuer. Jeff helped it grow into a top 10 issuer by developing a data and analytics approach to the business. He served as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Analytics Officer. Initially focusing on reducing credit risk, through Jeff's leadership the focus moved to understanding customer profitability and return on investment (ROI). Jeff was actively involved in the company's securitization programs and led its portfolio sale and acquisition efforts. As the company grew he led efforts to evaluate different foreign markets and negotiated a joint venture agreement with a large UK bank. He has continued to apply the approaches and lessons learned to a wide range of clients including many in financial services and retailing.

Jeff has spoken at industry events numerous times and received awards for the innovative work of his team. He participated in the design of industry leading risk management and fraud tools. He was a founding member of the Risk Managers Roundtable portfolio benchmarking group and member of the MasterCard International Security Committee. Jeff has an BA in English and a BS in Economics (majoring in Accounting) from the University of Pennsylvania.

John Linton's Bio

John is a senior consultant and service delivery executive serving in the financial, technology, and operations industries. Accomplished in global end-to-end product lifecycle deliverables, advising on risk management/mitigation, leading corporate program management initiatives, and managing large scale customer implementations.

Having worked with two top 10 credit card issuers, John is considered an expert in the credit card risk area, well versed in managing risk strategy development, data analytics and proven leadership in aligning technology to operations staff. His risk and analytical teams have been recognized by the industry risk leader FICO as having the most comprehensive and profitable bankcard strategies. John has strong credit card and loan systems conversion experience coupled with a strong ability to perform business architecture analysis. He has spoken at various industry events on risk, fraud, analytics and innovative technologies.

John has worked with two Fortune 500 professional computing services companies, leading strategic product development and delivery. He has built out professional service and sales teams supporting over 100 clients. He has led three international merger and acquisitions and fifteen large scale client implementations. John has led and managed consultants with over forty financial service global organizations.

Some of John's experiences include: BNY Mellon, Advanta, JPMorgan Chase, FIS and Fiserv.

John holds a BS in Accounting and Computer Science and minor in Economics from Clarion University.

Mike Coco's Bio

Michael has 30+ years of experience in financial services, specifically banking and specialty finance, working for organizations that ranged in size from a start up to multi-billion dollars in assets. His roles have required him to develop an in-depth understanding of the origination and servicing of small business and consumer loans in the United States. As a senior officer of multiple FDIC-insured institutions, he has been an active participant in the development of the oversight and communication structures required by financial regulators, including ALCO and Credit committees and their associated sub committees and reporting packages.

Michael has an AB in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA in Finance from Temple University.

John Derham's Bio

John Derham is a visionary architect of innovative technology stacks. Powered by state-of-the-art layers of integrated AI and proprietary contextualizing software, the platforms have utility for measurement in industries including media, financial services, e-commerce, and various other B2C and B2B applications. A pioneer in building and leading diverse data analytics teams and strategies, he has an uncanny ability to effectively communicate between technology and executive layers in order to advance innovative strategies and solve real-world problems in marketing, product, risk management, and other operational disciplines.

John has a BS in Economics from Villanova University where he still coaches lacrosse.

Lakshmi Venkataswamy's Bio

Lakshmi Venkataswamy is a seasoned IT professional who has 30+ years in the art and practice of IT in various business verticals. He has led IT organizations in the roles of CTO and CIO in the banking. financial services and media industries. He has also been involved in successful startups both internationally and domestically. His passion is providing technology solutions that provide scale and performance in a cost effective manner.

Lakshmi earned a Bachelor of Engineering Electronics & Communications Engineering B.E. (Hons) ECE at the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, and an MBA in Finance from Drexel University.

Tom Wennerberg's Bio

Tom is a Fortune 500 Marketing Executive with strategic, analytical, and creative skills he used to build and improve marketing teams, develop integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns, and manage complex brands at TCF Bank, KeyBank, PNC, and Ford Motor Company. He currently consults with community banks and credit unions on discovering their purpose and building modern marketing capabilities.
